Where can I get my vehicle repaired?

You can have your vehicle repaired at any Nissan Authorised Repair & Service Centre, who will be able to manage any claim for you and we’ll liaise directly with your repairer to authorise and pay for valid repairs. Repairs can also be made at any VAT registered repairer, however you may have to pay for the repairs and then seek reimbursement - please refer to the Claim Procedures section of the Policy Document.

What’s covered?

Nissan Care Extended Warranty covers parts and labour in the event of a mechanical or electrical failure of the covered components up to the claims limits outlined in the Policy Document. Please click on the Policy Document link for full details.

What's not covered?

Nissan Care Extended Warranty provides a high level of cover, but unfortunately, we do not cover consumable items such as brake pads or discs, tyres, oils & fluids. These items are designed to wear and will need replacing with time.. Please click on the Policy Document link for full list of excluded items.

How can I pay?

You can pay for Nissan Care Extended Warranty by using a credit or a debit card. An installment payment option is also available - payable by 10 monthly Direct Debits at no extra cost.

Will I have to pay for a covered repair?

No, providing you use a Nissan Authorised Repair & Service Centre, Nissan Care Extended Warranty will pay for all covered repairs up to the claims limit outlined in the Policy Document. If you use another VAT registered repairer, you may have to pay for the repairs and then seek reimbursement from us.

What does 'wear and tear' mean?

“Wear and tear” means wear on any covered components that is suffered as part of regular and reasonable use.

How does the courtesy car work?

Nissan Authorised Repair & Service Centre’s will endeavour to provide you with a courtesy vehicle during your repair. If the repair to your vehicle is going to take longer than expected, Nissan Care Extended Warranty will refund your hire cost for a comparable vehicle, as outlined in your Policy Document. Please note that we can’t contribute towards the first 24-hours that you are without your vehicle. The cost of insurance, fuel and ancillary expenses are not included. Please note that the maximum period for which You are entitled to a replacement vehicle following a single incident is seven days. Please click on Policy Document for full details.

Is labour covered?

Yes – Nissan Care Extended Warranty covers both parts and labour as outlined in your Policy Document.

Is it ok if my vehicle has been out of warranty?

If your Nissan vehicle has been out of warranty then you are be able to purchase Nissan Care Extended Warranty at your local Nissan dealer following a vehicle healthcheck, and rectification of any faults found.

What are the servicing requirements?

Your vehicle needs to have been serviced in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended service schedule. Services must be carried out within one month / 1,000 miles of the intervals specified by the vehicle manufacturer (whichever the sooner). Your vehicle can be serviced at any VAT registered dealership, but we might ask you to provide evidence of the servicing in the event of a claim.

Are existing faults covered?

Unfortunately, we can’t cover existing faults with your vehicle. You should have these faults rectified by a Nissan Authorised Repair & Service Centre or a VAT registered repairer before purchasing a Nissan Care Extended Warranty.

Which vehicles are excluded?

Non Nissan vehicles are excluded. Commercial vehicles over 3.5 tonnes Gross Vehicle Weight (4.5 tonnes in respect of the Nissan NV400) ,non European imports, motorcycles and motor homes are also excluded. We are also unable to cover vehicles used as a taxi, mini-cab, driving school, for hire or reward or any vehicle used in a competitive motoring event, Public service vehicles, Police, Ambulance, Fire, and military service vehicles. How soon can I make a valid claim?

You can make a valid claim as soon as your policy is registered with us – there’s no waiting period before a claim can be made, although we can’t cover existing faults with your vehicle.

Is breakdown or recovery included?

Nissan Care Extended Warranty does not include assistance or recovery.

What happens if my vehicle breaks down abroad?

If your vehicle breaks down abroad, you should have the vehicle repaired locally and then contact us on your return to the UK to arrange for any reimbursement. Please ensure you obtain a full receipt for any work carried out. Unfortunately, we can’t directly liaise with repairers overseas, or directly authorise repairs.

What if I change my mind?

We hope You are happy with the cover this policy provides. If after reading Your policy document, however, this insurance cover does not meet with Your requirements, You have the right to cancel the warranty within 30 days of purchase. Should You wish to cancel within this period, please contact The Administrator who will arrange cancellation and refund of any premium You are entitled to. If You wish to cancel Your policy after this 30-day period, You may cancel Your policy at any time and receive a pro rata refund of Your premium based on the number of whole months remaining subject to the deduction of a £30 administration fee. Requests for cancellation outside of the first 30 days from purchase should be made by contacting The Administrator on 0344 573 8022.

How do I make a complaint?

We hope you won’t need to make a complaint, but if you’re not happy with the service provided, you should call Nissan Extended Warranty Administration on 0344 573 8022. Please quote your vehicle registration number to ensure your enquiry is dealt with promptly. We’ll do our best to resolve your query straight away, in line with the Complaints Procedure process outlined in the Policy Document.

What if I sell my vehicle?

If you decide to sell your vehicle privately, you can transfer the warranty to the new owner. Simply call our Customer Services team on 0844 573 8022 to make the change, or complete the Transfer Of Ownership form in the back of your Policy Document and return it to us. Please note that the warranty needs to be fully paid for before it can be transferred and needs to be received by us within 30 days of change of ownership.

What if my vehicle is an import?

Nissan Care Extended Warranty covers European imports only. Unfortunately, if your vehicle is a non-European import we can’t cover it on Nissan Care Extended Warranty.

What if I’ve modified my vehicle?

Unfortunately, we do not cover vehicles that are modified from their original manufacturer specification.
